Flying

Sarah Caltieri

Verse 1

It was all so clear, when she was a young girl,

had a vision of where she wanted to go.

But something went wrong, ended up losing her way,

couldn’t find home, or where she needed to be.

Is that why she’s here now? Don’t things happen for a reason?

Each step she missed took her further than she knew.

Chorus

Now she’s flying, so high she’s soaring,

over places she’s never been before.

She’s flying , so high she’s soaring,

and she’s seeing things she forgot to see, forgot to see before.

Verse 2

All the simple things that she seemed to ignore

passed straight through her and she didn’t even know.

Too caught up in a web, so tangled up in her own mind,

couldn’t find a way out, or read between the wire.

Then she realized, the simple things help us grow.

Now each breath she takes makes her richer than before.

Chorus

Now she’s flying, so high she’s soaring,

over places she’s never been before.

She’s flying , so high she’s soaring,

and she’s seeing things she forgot to see, forgot to see before.

Verse 3

Now when the road feels long, her feet don’t know which way to turn,

she knows it’s okay, Mother Nature’s coming round.

And when she holds out her hand, this time she’ll reach out,

leads her through the dark, back to where she belongs.

Because each breath she takes makes her richer than before…

Chorus

Flying, so high she’s soaring,

over places she’s never been before.

Yes she’s flying , so high she’s soaring,

and she’s seeing things she forgot to see, forgot to see before.

Flying, so high she’s soaring, over places she’s never been before.

She’s flying , so high she’s soaring,

and each step she takes takes her further back, takes her further back, further back

to where she finds her home.
