Some of you in Scotland may remember this one...
2nd major stage production as a new “bat singer/actor.” Extreme fun touring Scotland and playing a “dominatrix” type version of Lucy Brown in The Threepenny Opera written by Bertolt Brecht (music by Kurt Weill).
Apparently, a member of The Art’s council informed the director “I didn’t look blind enough and couldn’t tell”. When asked by the director to “act more blindly during the performance, (after 3 months of rehearsing dance and movement routines and 3 performances, I, of course, refused, stating “this will add no artistic quality to the character and she is not blind and this is an absurd request!!!
